Pakistan U19 Struggle in Chase Despite Farhan Yousaf’s Heroics
Pakistan’s chase got off to a poor start as they slipped to 28 for 3, putting immediate pressure on the middle order. Right-handed batter Farhan Yousaf, coming in at number five, attempted to stabilize the innings.
Farhan Yousaf Anchors the Innings
Farhan added 26 runs for the fourth wicket with Ahmed Hussain, who contributed 12 runs off 34 balls, including a boundary. However, Pakistan’s momentum stalled once Ahmed was dismissed.
Soon after, Huzaifa Ahsan and Hamza Zahoor fell in quick succession, reducing Pakistan to 85 for 6 in 25.4 overs.
Late Resistance Falls Short
Farhan then formed a crucial 48-run partnership for the seventh wicket with Abdul Subhan, but the stand ended in the 38th over when Subhan was run out for 14, including two fours.
Farhan completed his half-century off 72 balls and was eventually dismissed in the 41st over for a brave 65 off 86 deliveries, striking three fours and four sixes.
Momin Qamar remained unbeaten on 18 off 28 balls, hitting one four and one six, but Pakistan fell short of the target.

England’s innings was anchored by Caleb Falconer, who top-scored with 66 off 73 balls, including three fours and two sixes. Ben Dawkins also chipped in with a useful 33.
Pakistan Bowlers Deliver Strong Performance
Despite the loss, Pakistan’s bowlers delivered a disciplined performance.
Ahmed Hussain impressed with 3 wickets for 38 runs in 10 overs and also took a spectacular catch.
Abdul Subhan picked up 2 wickets for 24 runs.
Ali Raza and Momin Qamar claimed two wickets each, as England were dismissed in the 47th over.
